POLAND WORK PERMIT -

Poland, officially the Republic of Poland, is a country located in Central Europe. It is divided into 16 administrative subdivisions, covering an area of 312,696 square kilometers, and has a largely temperate seasonal climate.

Poland is bordered by Germany in west, the Czech Republic in south west, Slovakia in south, Ukraine in south east, Belarus in east and Lithuania and Russia in north east. The country shares maritime borders with Denmark and Sweden.

POLISH WORK PERMIT

Every year hundreds of people decide to work and settle in Poland. The country has low unemployment rate, the salaries are still growing and the cost of living stays fairly low.

There are many occupations that are in great demand in Poland and require foreign workers. However, foreign workers are required to have the proper visas and work permits in Poland, as established by immigration laws.

Candidates are required to get the EMPLOYMENT VISA (NATIONAL VISA, D TYPE) through the closest consulate of Poland in their country. This type of visa is granted on the basis of the Voivodeship invitation certified by the Voivode (local Governor of the Polish administrative division corresponding to a “province” in other countries).

Work permits are issued at a regional level and will be valid for minimum 1 year period.

The company willing to hire foreign citizens submits an employment application to the Voivodeship department of the foreign citizens by the place of company registration.

ADVANTAGES OF THE POLISH WORK PERMIT:

The invited person has the legal right to live and work throughout the calendar year in Poland;

The invited person has the legal right to stay for 90 days within half a year in the countries of the Schengen Area (control is hardly possible since there are no clear boundaries);

Due to the subordination of the consulate to Voivode (Governor), the visa application is not rejected.

Minimum education requirement is 10th Grade while no IELTS or previous work experience is required in order to apply for Poland Work Permit.

WORK PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESS

In order to get a work permit, the future employer needs to fill out a work permit application that includes the name of the company that is hiring the applicant and his/her job title within this company.

This has huge implications as the work permit is only valid for the given company and position. If the candidate decides to leave the company and wants to get a new job, his new employer will have to go through the process of applying for a new work permit for him.

There are six different types of work permits:

A – when the foreign worker is employed in a company based in Poland

B – when the foreign worker performs a function in a management board or acts as a general partner or a proxy

C – when the foreign worker is working for a non-Polish employer but is delegated for more than 30 days to a branch or facility located in Poland

D – when the foreign worker is working for a non-Polish employer and is delegated to Poland for the purpose of executing a service, e.g. export service

E – when the foreign worker is working for a non-Polish employer and is delegated to Poland for a time longer than 3 months within the next 6 months for a purpose other than those previously stated

S – seasonal work permit that is issued by Staroste upon a request from an employer. It is permitted only on the basis of a seasonal work permit.

Passport (color scanned copies of all pages)
